I haven’t known Jim (a.k.a. The Travel Mammal) very long but we have become great friends in only a few months. Sometimes it actually feels like I have known him for years to be honest. As you will see in the vlog he created for me below, he is hilarious. I laugh every time I talk to him! I am a strong believer that people come into your life at a certain time for a reason and that is definitely the case with him. My family and close friends know that I am usually the person taking care of others and sometimes that means that I don’t take care of myself. In the few short months that I have known Jim, he has helped me realize how important it is to take care of me too. Because in order for me to really be there for others, I have to be healthy and take care of myself first. My favourite memory of this summer was actually going on a mini road trip to Cobourg and spending the day relaxing on the beach and wandering around the village. And if it weren’t for Jim, I wouldn’t have gone that day.
Jim created this vlog for me based on a few questions I sent him. As I said before, he is hilarious so I know you will enjoy listening to all of his travel advice and what inspires him!

Sylvain and his wife Caroline are incredible people and I am very lucky to call them my friends! They are the type of people that you can sit for hours with having real, deep, thought-provoking and inspiring conversations. I first met Syl at a networking event when I was doing my event planning business full time. It was a natural connection because he is a very talented videographer so we were in the same industry. We worked together a few times and it didn’t take long for me to become great friends with him and his beautiful wife. Anyone that knows these two, know they are pretty much the sweetest couple ever! I adore them.
Syl inspires me to see Infinite Possibilities (checkout my awesome shirt!!)
I remember the day Caro told me Syl was diagnosed with cancer (we were actually about to go into a hot yoga class that we did together) and my heart sank. I remember feeling helpless and wanting to do something so that my friend didn’t have to go through this horrible disease. I guess it is a natural reaction when you hear the word cancer. I have to tell you though, watching him go through everything he went through and come out even stronger is amazing. I never heard him complain once throughout the process, which I know had many ups and downs. Thankfully he is now cancer free and is back working and creating beautiful videos. I am blessed to have him in my life because to me he is the epitome of strength. No matter what comes his way, he faces it head first with a positive mindset and sees infinite possibilities. I really don’t think there is anything he could be faced with that he couldn’t handle with grace. I have learned so much about approaching any life situation with multiple lenses and perceptions because of the many conversations I have had with Syl and Caro and I am eternally grateful for my friendships with both of them.
I know you will enjoy his insights as my feature for this post! Make sure you also checkout his amazing work through his website or social media links at the end of this post.

My godson Nicholas is a special boy. Although he is only three and a half, he has taught me some of the most important life lessons I will ever learn and has changed me in a profound way. Despite all of the many challenges that he has been faced with in his short life, Nicholas is one of the happiest little boys I have ever met. And I am lucky enough to be his godmommy.
Life is precious and the truth is we don’t really know how long we have here. It doesn’t always matter how old you are or how well you take care of yourself, life can change in the blink of an eye which is why I strive to live each moment to its fullest. There are so many ways to live life to its fullest potential, but here are five of my favourites:

I am really excited to do my first health and wellness blog post featuring someone I have known for many years (I won’t say exactly HOW long I have known Janine, but we did go to elementary and high school together to give you an idea…). It is incredible to know someone from such a young age and see the amazing things they have accomplished, it is so inspiring!
Janine and her husband Greg opened the first ever barre-based fitness studio in Ottawa a few years ago and due to the massive success of the first one they recently opened their second studio (Not to mention having two kids in the process! They know a thing or two about being busy while trying to maintain a work/life balance and staying healthy in the process!). They have both been involved in fitness and health for most of their lives and have some great advice to share with you in this post. I am sure you will find their tips helpful. And if you live in Ottawa, I highly recommend you go visit one of their studios and try out their barre workouts!

One of my favourite things in the entire world to do is travel! I have been very blessed in my life to have had the opportunity to travel as much as I have. You can learn so much about life and culture through travel, it is incredible. As much as I love laying on a beach and unwinding, some of my most amazing memories have been from learning about different cultures, trying new foods and exploring fascinating places. Being self-employed, I haven’t traveled much in the last few years but I am hoping to change that soon!
You know those people that you click with right away and somehow know that you will become good friends with them? That is exactly how I felt when I met Bianca for the first time! She is warm, kind, funny, stylish and one of the sweetest people I know. She is the kind of person that will hold your hand on a roller coaster when you are freaking out (and yes, that actually happened on the roller coaster at the New York New York Hotel in Las Vegas. I kept my eyes closed the entire time while she held my hand and asked if I was okay! Note to self: Just because you are in Vegas doesn’t mean that you can handle roller coasters all of a sudden!). I love spending time with her and am very lucky to have her as a friend.
One of my absolute favourite things in the world to do is dance! There is something about listening to music and moving to the beat that makes my soul happy. It is one of those things that lifts my spirit, no matter what kind of day I am having. I honestly can’t remember a time when I wasn’t happy when I was dancing.
I am beyond excited to introduce you to my next muse. Her name is Jaya, and she is one of my favourite people in the entire world! I call her my Aussie sister (hopefully one day soon she will officially be my sister-in-law – no pressure on my brother or anything but our entire family loves her! I already consider her a sister and love her to pieces!) Jaya is full of energy and such a joy to be around. I feel happy whenever I am around her and am constantly inspired by her.
I am very excited to have my first fashion inspired blog post. Although I love fashion, I am by no means an “expert” so I have called on a few of my fashionista friends to help me out a bit!
I met Amanda at an event I coordinated where she was the host and I had such an amazing time working with her. She is a sweetheart and so much fun to be around and I LOVED her sense of fashion (I am sure you will as well)!! Make sure you checkout all her social media links at the end of this post to see more of her fashion inspirations.
